Not having access to the cited work, it is not clear what the evidence for Richard having two daughters named Anne is, but it is possible that a will has been misinterpreted as evidence that the wife of Francis Yonge was the daughter of Richard of Apley, when she was actually his sister. He also acknowledges (without commenting on) Jacobus's speculation that the wife of Francis Yonge may have been Richard's sister rather than his daughter. Richardson lists both Anne Charlton, wife of Randall Grosvenor, and Anne Charlton, wife of Francis Yonge, as daughters of Richard Charlton, and cites Currer-Briggs English Wills of Colonial Families (1972): 3-8 as 'evidence for existence of two daughters named Anne'. (Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Company, 2005), page 178. Magna Carta Ancestry: A Study in Colonial and Medieval Families.
